The project aims to awaken a sense of comfort and collective security through reading – the text (literary, theoretical) in this case reveals itself as a starting point for shaping the mechanisms of coping with the grief we face today. Through monthly reading groups and radio shows, weekly newsletters and performative workshops, we oppose the so-called comfort theories with so-called fear theories, and in that way we encourage participants and the wider audience to fill their daily lives by reading, to find comfort and inspiration.

The Komfortacije project is run by CHC in cooperation with KLFM community radio. The project is being implemented from July 2021 to December 2023, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia as part of the Public call for proposing programs that encourage reading and development of reader audience in the Republic of Croatia for 2021.

In the framework of the project we organize monthly reading groups in Prostor and we share a biweekly newsletter.
